We are losing something very important… human connection.
We have never been more “connected” than we are right now.
So why does it feel like we’re so alone?
Why is loneliness, anxiety, and depression on the rise?
(spoiler alert…quick social media rant)
76% of people say they’re on their phones way too much.
73% say they know it’s hurting their mental health.
And guess what? This is not a random unexpected finding, it’s happening by design. The endless scroll, auto play, dopamine hits on demand, short, form video addiction, rage baiting… and finally big tech social media is being held accountable. And while this is all shaping our culture, it’s also shaping your business. Because your business doesn’t run on attention. It runs on relationships and right now relationships are being weakening, and it’s weak not just in our teens but also in us adults.
Shorter conversations, less presence, less trust, less eye contact, less handshakes and hugs…
You can feel it with your team.
You can feel it with your clients.
You can feel it within your own family.
Here’s the opportunity:
-While everyone else is chasing attention, you double down on connection.
-While everyone else is distracted, you be present.
-While everyone else wastes away precious hours, you maximize them.
-While everyone else is just waiting to speak, you actually listen.
Create real experiences for people not more posts. Because in the end:
People don’t stay because of what you post…
People stay because of how they felt when they were with you, and your business.
The future will not belong to businesses with the most likes on whatever social media platform they’re on…
The future will belong to the ones that have the deepest connections, provide the most value, and enhance the human experience. Because whether we can admit it or not, whether we are aware of it or not…
WE ALL NEED CONNECTION
WE ALL WANT TO FEEL SPECIAL
WE ALL WANT TO BE CARED FOR
