I’ve been hearing the same concern everywhere:
“Private practice is dying.”
“Corporate is taking over.”
“There’s no room left for us little guys.”
“Corporate is taking over.”
“There’s no room left for us little guys.”
I don’t believe that. Not for a flippin’ second.
What is dying are poorly run, unsupported, stuck, outdated, isolated practices…
Not all private practice itself and especially not passionately led private practices with sound structure and strong relationships.
👉 There is still space for:
• Well-run clinics
• Well-run clinics
• Niche practices with passionate owners
• Clear leadership
• Strong culture
• Real patient relationships
• Clear leadership
• Strong culture
• Real patient relationships
• Real referrer relationships
• Real employee relationships
• Owners who know their numbers
• Owners who know their numbers
• AI-accepting business models
Our profession doesn’t need fewer private practices, it needs MORE.
With the right help small private practice will prevent all of us from working for one of 4 giant corporations and all getting burnt out. Strength in numbers. The most successful private practices have the attributes listed above and look at other priavate practices as allies not competitors. There are plenty of patients for us all!
If you ever thought about owning your own practice, our profession needs passionate motivated PT owners, and better support for them. There is so much help out there now for owners.
👉 The future of physical therapy depends on owners:
• Who choose to lead and not give up
• Who choose to change and not stay stuck
• Who choose to lead and not just grind
• Who choose to learn the business of PT
• Who choose to build strong relationships
• Who choose to accept AI and technology
• Who choose to reap the rewards of ownership and not the safety of a job
• Who choose to drop their ego and get help
There is so much help out there for those willing to get it. Some of the help is amazing, some is not so choose wisely. I chose to dedicate the rest of my professional career to help those willing to lead. That is why I joined forces with others who are doing the same, I am building an ecosystem to help (www.privatepracticefuel.com).
